Adele found herself in tears as she shared a tender moment with Celion Dion during the “Rolling In The Deep” singer's Las Vegas residency on Saturday night.
In videos shared online, Adele pauses during a performance of “When We Were Young” to get closer to Dion sitting in a box at the Colosseum at Ceasers Palace, where the British pop star has resided for nearly two years.
Both singers became emotional as they hugged each other and shared some words not heard by the rest of the audience. Dion then kissed Adele's hand before the singer resumed her performance on stage.
The sweet moment between the stars comes after Adele told her fans in July that she would be taking a “big break” at the conclusion of her Las Vegas residency next month, and has no new plans for more music. Also this summer, Dion celebrated the release of her documentary, I'm Céline Dionwhich documents her struggle with stiff person syndrome, the rare neurological disease that has prevented her from performing.
“I hope this documentary gives people the opportunity, first of all, to let them know that I'm here as a mother, as an artist, as a woman, as an ambassador, in a way that I want to help people,” Dion said. The Hollywood journalist at the film's premiere. “A lot of people look into a lot of empty hopes, and it's pretty dark, and I felt that way for a long time until I realized that this isn't living. It's not even dying. This is just standing still and I didn't want that anymore. I don't think I deserved it. Above all, my children didn't deserve it.”
