Anya Taylor-Joy has some Disney dreams she won't give up. The actress said this week that she'd love to play Elsa in an adaptation of Frozen.
“It would be a lot of fun to shoot ice out of your hand,” Taylor-Joy said. Rowing Hong Kong. “Plus, you'd just be the favorite at every kids' birthday party. All my siblings have kids now, so I'd love for them to be able to say 'my aunt is Elsa.' That would be really cool.”
The actress also added: “I would love to do a musical because I'm a bit of a hard-worker. I like having an impossible mountain to climb. The idea of having to be able to sing, dance and act at the same time would really excite me.”
As a child, Taylor-Joy studied ballet and, in another part of her profile, she talked about how this experience enhanced her skills as a film actress today.
“My background as a dancer has helped me with everything in my life,” she said. “It’s not just the discipline that it instills in you. I danced ballet from age 3 to 15, and it doesn’t matter if you’re going to a party; you wake up at five in the morning to go to that six o’clock dance class. I see acting as a rhythm; I almost hear it as music, and that helps a lot with stunt choreography because you’re in a dance with all the other performers around you, so you don’t just know your own rhythms, you know everyone else’s rhythms to keep everyone safe.”
She also said that the training helped her perform her stunts in Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga“I appreciated the opportunity to be able to do as many stunts as I did, because there's a very specific perfectionism that goes into stunts,” he said. “You can do something pretty right or you can do it completely right and that doesn't happen very often in life. And I enjoyed that.”
