Catalina Sandino Moreno and Néstor Carbonell have joined the high-profile cast of REPa crime thriller produced by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.
Joe Carnahan, the action and thriller director behind films like The Grey AND Cop shopis directing the film that already has Sasha Calle (The Flash) and singer-turned-actress Teyana Taylor on the call sheet. Production will begin later this month in Miami and Los Angeles.
The film is produced by Artists Equity, the artist-led studio founded by Affleck and Damon. The duo is producing alongside Luciana Damon and Dani Bernfeld for Artists Equity. Michael Joe and Kevin Halloran are executive producers for Artists Equity.
The thriller sees a team of Miami cops discover millions in cash in an abandoned hideout. Things are complicated by police rules requiring them to remain on site. As trust within the team begins to weaken, outside forces learn of the millions in the house. This pressure put the police in an impossible and hostile situation.
Moreno and Carbonell play members of the police force.
Moreno last starred in the MGM+ ensemble supernatural drama From and appeared alongside Joel Kinnaman in last year's John Woo action film Silent night. The actress, who exploded in the 2004s Mary Full of Gracewill soon appear on Lionsgate John Wick spin off, Dancer. She is represented by UTA, Lasher Group and Felker Toczek.
Carbonell was last seen in this year's Emmy-winning film Shogunand is also part of the Apple cast The morning show series. He is repped by IAG and Thruline Entertainment.
