Jeremiah Brent, famous interior designer and new star of the hit Netflix series Strange eyehas teamed up with kids brand Crate & Barrel for a capsule collection of furniture, textiles and decor. Introducing: Jeremiah Brent for Crate & Kids.
While the collection is technically designed for kids’ rooms and nurseries, many of the pieces are equally suited to chic living rooms, guest rooms, and master bedrooms. The line ranges from baby-specific pieces like cribs, baby blankets, furniture, and changing table covers to versatile rugs, artwork, curtains, desks, lamps, and throw blankets, all available for purchase on crateandbarrel.com beginning Tuesday, September 10.
The capsule is highly representative of Brent’s personal style and interweaves symbols that are meaningful to the designer. These include evil eyes that mirror his evil eye tattoo, hummingbirds that remind him of his grandmother’s garden, and mystical creatures from his children’s imaginations.
Sebastian Brauer, Senior Vice President of Design at Crate & Kids, explains the inspiration behind the brand’s latest collaboration, saying, “Jeremiah was drawn to 1930s Viennese design, as well as various patterns, colors and designs inspired by his travels, such as ancient Egypt. Throughout the collection, we incorporated rich, playful colors and accents like burgundy, mauve, camel and cobalt to create color mixes that we are excited to bring into kids’ spaces. We wanted to design family pieces that could fit into any home.”
