Romeo + Julietthe other hot new ticket, starring Kit Connor and Rachel Zegler, grossed just over $1 million in its first full week of performances after opening at the Circle in the Square Theatre.
Evil led the industry in grosses, with nearly $2.3 million, followed by The Lion Kingat $1.9 million, Sunset Boulevard, Hamilton with $1.71 million and MJ the musical with 1.5 million dollars.
Overall, industry grosses took a hit, with cumulative totals down nearly 3% from the previous week and attendance largely flat as Broadway productions competed with Halloween festivities last week .
