Desus Nice has a new podcast with DraftKings

Former Desus and Mero host Desus Nice returns behind the microphone of the podcast.

Desus and Scottie Beam will host Bet!a weekly sports and pop culture podcast produced by DraftKings and Kevin Hart's company, Hartbeat. The inaugural episode debuts Thursday on all podcast platforms. In addition to the show, DraftKings will also feature free pools on its betting app tied to each week's discussions.

“I'm so excited to return to the podcast scene and do so alongside my longtime friend Scottie Beam,” Desus Nice said in a statement. “We've poured our hearts, our souls, and our coolest takes on this podcast, and I can't wait for everyone to join in and have fun with us.”

Beam, a podcaster and former Hot 97 producer from New York, added: “There are many pundits and so-called pundits giving their opinions, but how many actually get to see their predictions tested? Desus and I aren't just talking – we're putting it all on the line and letting our fans weigh in to see who can really back up their predictions.

Along with discussions of the week's sports news and pop culture, Bet! will also feature Desus and Beam making predictions on everything from which films will top the box office to what will happen in the future Real Housewives shows. DraftKings pools will be tied to those discussions.

“DraftKings is constantly exploring new and creative ways to engage our customers on a deeper level,” said Stephanie Sherman, the company's chief marketing officer. “We are thrilled to be working with Hartbeat Bet! and offer listeners a cutting-edge podcast series that lives at the intersection of sports and culture.”

Bet! joins a list of Hartbeat audio productions that also includes Hart's Golden minds, A song with Diallo Riddle and Luxxury, e Small crimes with Ceara Jane O'Sullivan and Griff Stark-Ennis.

Eric Eddings, Lesley Gwam and Tina Maher are the executive producers of Bet!with Alex Duckworth as producer. Jeremy Benbow and Tyree Rush of Hartbeat are associate producers.
