Paramount Pictures has announced a series of release dates for upcoming titles, led by Glen Powell The running man remake among the projects arriving in theaters next year.
Edgar Wright helms The running manwhich will be released on November 21, 2025. Wright, Simon Kinberg and Nira Park produce the new version of the 1987 science fiction film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The study has no title Naked gun the reboot film will now hit theaters on August 1, 2025, after previously being scheduled for July 18, 2025. Akiva Schaffer directs the comedy from producers Seth MacFarlane and Erica Huggins. Liam Neeson plays detective Frank Drebin, the character originally played by Leslie Nielsen in the film series launched with the first film in 1988. Pamela Anderson and Paul Walter Hauser co-star in the new film.
An untitled animated Smurfs musical film from director Chris Miller will take precedent Naked gun release date July 18, 2025. Based on the characters and the work of artist Peyo, the film was previously slated for a February 14, 2025 release and boasts a voice cast that includes Rihanna, Nick Offerman, Natasha Lyonne, Nick Kroll, James Corden, Octavia Spencer, Hannah Waddingham, Sandra Oh and Kurt Russell.
Viciousstarring Dakota Fanning, will be released on February 28, 2025. Director Bryan Bertino's horror film was previously scheduled to hit theaters on August 8, 2025.
Also, dear recent festival September 5th will be released in select theaters on November 29, 2024 and will be released on December 13. The Hollywood journalist previously reported on this release plan for director Tim Felhbaum's historical drama about the 1972 Munich Olympics terrorist attack. Peter Sarsgaard stars in the film produced by Philipp Trauer, Thomas Wöbke, Tim Fehlbaum, Sean Penn, John Ira Palmer and John Wildermuth.
