Ahead of the world premiere at the Venice Film Festival of Harmony Korine's new experiment for the big screen, Invasion of childrenpress releases explaining the film's message were distributed. Maybe? We assume the message will make more sense after seeing the film, but it's worth sharing now that the film has just hit the big screen here at the Lido.
Described as an ultra-realistic multiplayer first-person shooter (FPS) game that plays like a surreal home invasion thriller, Invasion of children follows a group of mercenaries who use — you guessed it — children's faces as avatars to hide their identities. Tasked with breaking into the mansions of the rich and powerful without leaving anything behind, players must explore every rabbit hole before time runs out. Invasion of children hails from Korine's multimedia design collective EDGLRD and features an original score by Burial. The creative effort follows his last release, Aggro Dr1ftalso previewed in Venice.

Invasion of Children – A Message from Duck Mobb
We are Duck Mobb. We are the crew. Beware the Pale Horse.
Duck Mobb Rides. Clicked. Mobbed. We are streaming live to you, across the ocean, from cities, traps, favelas and neighborhoods around the world. Cartels, hackers, hired killers, scammers, hustlers, ex-military, militants, gang-certified world leaders: we are all connected. We speak out against the structures of power. And now, we are streaming our crimes directly to you, the viewer.
We cover our faces with baby avatars to avoid detection, and the image is strong. We are baby-faced assassins: cute and cuddly but deadly.
We distort our voices because otherwise we would have no voice.
We are the underclass. Duck Mobb cannot be trusted.
We are not your friends. We will rob, steal and take at will.
No one is safe. We are just the flickering light.
