The Hollywood Bowl was forced to cancel its September 8 performance due to a power outage.
The venue posted on its website that the concert, with Vance Joy as the headlining guest, had been canceled.
“Tonight's Vance Joy concert is canceled due to a power outage at and around the Hollywood Bowl,” the website reads. “We apologize for the inconvenience. If a new date for this performance can be confirmed, details will follow and tickets for the original date will be valid for the new performance date. No further action is necessary on your part.”
Ticket holders have been asked to contact Public Service at information@laphil.org for further information and to request refunds and exchanges.
It's unclear what caused the outage or how long it will take to restore power. The show was scheduled to start at 7 p.m. PT.
Indie rockers GROUPLOVE and folk-pop group Tiny Habits will also perform on Sunday's program.
The concert was tied to the 10th anniversary of Joy's debut album, Dream your life, which included the hit “Riptide.” The Australian singer-songwriter was due to perform songs from that album and other tracks from his career on Sunday night.
