Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump will face off at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday, September 10. This will mark the first presidential debate of the 2024 election cycle between this group of Democratic and Republican candidates, following the Biden-Trump presidential debate on June 27 and President Biden's withdrawal from the race on July 21.
Airing tomorrow night on ABC and other major cable networks, the 90-minute debate will be moderated by ABC News' Linsey Davis and David Muir. The event will not feature a live audience, and microphones will be turned on only for the candidate directly answering a question.
This time slot was originally intended for the second presidential debate between Biden and Trump. ABC News had always been slated to host the event, officially titled ABC News Presidential Debate: The Race to the White House.
