Hurricane Relief Special Set on CBS, CMT with Blake Shelton, more

Backstreet Boys, Blake Shelton, Taye Diggs, Stephen Colbert and Kelsea Ballerini are among the stars teaming up for a Helene and Milton hurricane relief benefit set for Nov. 2 on CBS and CMT.

The one-hour special designed to raise funds for the recovery of people affected by recent hurricanes in the southeastern US states will be hosted by Paramount Global for disaster relief organization United Way Worldwide.

Billy Bob Thornton, Tyler Hubbard, Billy Burke, Brittney Spencer, Clay Aiken, Cedric The Entertainer, Chris Janson, Max Thieriot, Nate Burleson and Zac Brown Band are also among the guests who will make an appearance during the charity event which will be broadcast live on Paramount. + with Showtime.

Hurricanes Helene and Milton are estimated to have caused approximately $50 billion in damage, and cleanup and relief efforts continue. The TV special was taped last weekend in Nashville.

“Paramount Global and its brands are proud to partner with United Way Worldwide on United Way Hurricane Relief Benefit in reaching audiences across the United States to help those affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton,” Melissa C. Potter, executive director of content for change at Paramount Global and a board member of United Way Worldwide, said in a statement.

The CBS and CMT special comes after stars including Taylor Swift, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively and Dolly Parton made sizable donations to support disaster relief efforts after Hurricanes Helene and Milton had devastating impacts on Florida and about North Carolina.

THE United Way Hurricane Relief Benefit was created by Byron V. Garrett, chief revenue officer of United Way Worldwide, and Potter of Paramount Global. The special is produced by Black & Bespoke, 5X Media, Digital Cinema Collective and Berman Productions for CBS and CMT.
