Jeff Bridges wasn't “keen” on his CGI appearance in Tron: Legacy

Jeff Bridges wasn't the biggest fan of his appearance in the 2010s Tron: Legacy.

The Oscar-winning actor recently chatted with Josh Horowitz about the Happy Sad Confused podcast, in which the host asked him what he thought of his image digitized for the film directed by Joseph Kosinski.

“It's a new thing… they scanned me and put me in the computer for when we did it Tron2 — What was his name? — Inheritance” Bridges said. “I didn't particularly like that recreation of myself. I thought I looked more like Bill Maher than myself.

The actor reprized his role as video game designer Kevin Flynn for Tron: Legacynearly three decades after the 1982 sci-fi classic Tron. But the sequel, starring Garrett Hedlund and Olivia Wilde, also featured an aged version of himself as the character Clu (Codified Likeness Utility).

Bridges will also return soon Tron: Aresstarring Jared Leto, Evan Peters and Greta Lee, but told Horowitz he will only make a brief appearance. The film directed by Joachim Rønning follows a highly sophisticated program, Ares (Leto), who is sent from the digital world to the real world on a dangerous mission.
