“Bobby Darin was a supernova. He made his way into every corner of the entertainment industry, but his enormous talent, charisma and pure genius were on display most when he let loose in front of a crowd. This primal, passionate love affair he had with the audience was the inspiration for the conceit of our show,” Groff said. “Alex Timber's distinctive ability to make theater-going an unforgettable event, Bobby's signature musicianship and explosive, fleeting life make Broadway the perfect place to experience the story and essence of this once-in-a-lifetime talent.”
In addition to his role as Franklin Shepard in Merrily we roll along, alongside Daniel Radcliffe and Lindsay Mendez, Groff was nominated for a Tony for his role as King George in Hamilton and like Melchior in Spring awakening.
