Julia Roberts to narrate audiobook of Lisa Marie Presley's posthumous memoir, From here to the great unknownIt was announced on Wednesday.
The actress will narrate alongside Presley's daughter, Riley Keough, who helped complete the book after Presley's death.
The audiobook will also feature previously unreleased tracks from personal tapes Presley recorded as he prepared to write the book.
In a statement, Roberts said: “I was so moved by Lisa Marie's incredible memoir. It was a true privilege to give voice to her wild and beautiful life and I deeply appreciate Riley trusting me with her mother's story.”
“I’m so excited for Julia to be a part of this and read my mom’s voice. I couldn’t think of anyone more perfect to help her share her story with the world,” Keough added.
Random House notes that before Presley’s death in 2023, Presley had asked Keough to help her finish her long-gestating memoir. After Presley’s unexpected death, Keough listened to recordings her mother had made for the book, which included stories about Graceland, her relationship with her mother, Priscilla Presley, life in the spotlight, marriages to Michael Jackson and Nicolas Cage, and the loss of her son, Riley’s brother, Benjamin Keough.
