Kate Winslet to star in The placea drama series from screenwriter Ed Solomon and A24, ordered directly from Hulu to TV series.
The show, always from 20th Television, centers on a successful surgeon and her teacher husband who begin to suspect that she may be responsible for the death of a child struck by a vehicle. Their search for the truth only becomes a web of growing suspicions and dark secrets, testing their resolve and their relationship as they confront the possibility of hidden guilt and betrayal.
Solomon created, wrote and will present The Point, while also executive producing alongside Winslet and her banner Juggle Productions and A24. Winslet, best known as a film actress since making her debut in Peter Jackson's Celestial Creatures In 1994, he won two Emmys for Mildred's Pierce AND Easttown Mare.
She also starred alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in Titanic and has other film credits such as If you leave me I'll erase you, Revolutionary Road, Little Kids, Steve Jobsand an Oscar-worthy performance in The reader.
Solomon's credits include Men in BlackTHE Now you see me film franchise and the Mosaic TV series. He also wrote the screenplay for the film No sudden moves for director Soderbergh and producer Casey Silver, which debuted at Tribeca and starred Don Cheadle, Benicio Del Toro, Ray Liotta, Brendan Fraser, Kieran Kulkin and Matt Damon.
Solomon's latest release, Full circleis a six-hour limited series also directed by Soderbergh and starring Claire Danes, Zasie Beetz, Dennis Quaid and Timothy Olyphant.
