Launch of Horror TV FAST Channel Scream in the United States

Just before Halloween, a horror-focused FAST channel will debut in the United States.

Scream TV, owned by NYX Media Corp., will debut via the Distro TV app on October 13 and will be available to stream via Roku and Amazon Fire TV devices, as well as on mobile platforms. NYX, which is based in Edmonton, Alberta, also operates FAST channels in Canada and the United Kingdom

“We are so excited to launch Scream TV and bring our unique horror entertainment experience to fans across North America for free,” NYX Media Corp. CEO Corinne Ferguson said in a statement. “One of our passions as horror fans is to painstakingly create a journey through the horror genre worthy of the viewer's time every night and 24/7. Our programming is done with the utmost respect for time of our viewers – which we believe is one of our most valuable assets – and we want the viewer to have the best experience possible.”

The Scream TV library will feature horror classics, including silent films from the 1920s The Phantom of the Opera AND Nosferatu60s 13 ghosts AND Black Sunday and movies from the 70s and 80s included Halloween, The Evil Dead, Suspiria, Black Christmas AND Alice Sweet Alice. Latest movies included The Descent and the Hell House LLC franchising will also be available.

Among the series available on Scream TV are Tales of the unexpected AND One step further. There are also some family-friendly offerings in the form of episodes of Casper the friendly ghost and the cult-favorite Canadian 1970s series The fun house of Frightenstein. Original shows and short films will join the lineup later.
