Oscar winner Marcia Gay Harden has come aboard Rennerthe new sci-fi thriller from writer, director and producer Robert Rippberger.
THE Pollock AND Mystic River star joins an ensemble cast led by Frankie Muniz, Violett Beane and Taylor Gray. Harden will voice the role of Salenus, an artificially intelligent companion designed by computer genius Renner (Muniz).
The story centers on Renner, who after attempting to woo his new neighbor Jamie (Beane) with the help of Salenus, realizes too late that he has accidentally programmed his manipulative mother to do so. Rippberg will direct Renner based on a screenplay co-written by Martin Medina and Luke Medina, sharing producing credit with Medina, KT Kent, Devin Keaton and Slated's Jay Burnley.

AI is another diversion for people to think for themselves and preserve the human element that makes art distinct and indelible. Marcia is a true artist and has brought great depth to the themes of this film,” he added.
Harden received his second Oscar nomination for his work on The morning show on Apple TV+ after receiving a previous Oscar nomination for his role in Mystic RiverShe also starred alongside Skylar Astin in the CBS comedy-drama Help me Todd and in the thriller directed by Michael Keaton Knox leaves.
Harden won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Lee Krasner in Pollockdirected by and starring Ed Harris, in 2001.
