Naomie Harris Is The Weakest Link When It Comes To James Bond Spoilers

Naomie Harris admitted James Bond Producers usually don't tell her about upcoming sequels because she's not very good at keeping spoilers under wraps.

The Oscar-nominated actress, who starred in three installments of the popular spy franchise, said on SiriusXM The Jess Cagle Show that while she misses being part of the James Bond universe, has “no idea” about the future of the franchise.

“I don't know what's going to happen next,” Harris confessed. “I don't know where they're going, what direction they're going. I have absolutely no idea, and I'm so glad I don't, because otherwise I'd make a mistake, so nobody's telling me anything.”

THE Moonlight The actress said she believes producers “think I'm the weak link because I'm literally the last person to know any information, which is terrible.”

Harris played Eve Moneypenny, opposite Daniel Craig as James Bond, in Falling Sky (2012), Spectrum (2015) and There is no time to die (2021).

“I’m really going to miss it because as an actress, or as an actor, and in this profession, you’re a bit of a gypsy who’s constantly wandering around,” Harris added. “And for the first time, I’ve had a sense of continuity coming back to the same place to work at Pinewood Studios, to work with the same team, and that’s a nice feeling. So yeah, I feel a bit lost without it, to be honest.”

Little has been announced about the future of the franchise, which will see another actor take over from Craig as the next 007. Franchise producer Barbara Broccoli said The Guardian last year that executives “haven't even started” modernizing the franchise, as it's important that the titular character reflects how the world has changed.

He added at the time: “I think these films reflect the times they're in and there's a long, long way to go to reinvent that in the next chapter.”
