Pleasing and Disney Collaboration 'Fantasia' Unveils 3D Animation (Exclusive)

Harry Styles' Pleasing and Disney are giving a whimsical look to theirs Fantasy collab before this weekend arrives.

The lifestyle brand from the superstar and iconic animated film will launch a 31-piece collection ($25 to $289) of nail polish sets, skincare, apparel, accessories and stationery at select Disney Stores and pop-up shops starting September 28 and online October 4 at 8am PT at disneystore.com and Pleasure.com and 9am BST at disneyStore.co.uk. Ahead of launch, the collaboration comes to life in a 3D animated commercial set to the tune of “The Sorcerer's Apprentice” by Paul Dukas. The video premieres exclusively on The Hollywood journalist and will be screened during Disney's physical shopping experiences. Below, watch the animation here first.

“Working with Disney gave us the chance to go to Anaheim and dig deep into their abundant archives,” friendly creative director Harry Lambert says exclusively The Hollywood journalist. “We had a very open vision of what our dream collaboration with Disney would be because the opportunities were endless, but we always had them Fantasy in the back of our minds and at the top of our list for many reasons. The beautiful, fantastical colors, the whimsical and joyful nature of the characters inside – it all seemed like the perfect match for Pleasing.”

Pleasing x beauty highlights Fantasy The collection includes nail polish sets in four colors, nail and hand conditioner, and a new buttercream flavor of the Big Lip HA Hydrating Balm, all in packaging that showcases rare Disney sketches. Hoodies, crewnecks, shirts, T-shirts and sweatpants feature Mickey Mouse as the Apprentice and other beloved characters from segments set in performances by the Philadelphia Orchestra conducted by Leopold Stokowski, including “The Sorcerer's Apprentice,” “Symphony Pastoral” and “The Sorcerer's Apprentice” by Amilcare Ponchielli. The pop-up shops are open from September 28 to October 27 and are located in Orlando, Florida at Disney Springs (1486 E Buena Vista Dr.; open daily 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.) and in Texas at Houston Galleria (5115 Westheimer Rd., Suite C2555; open Monday through Thursday 10am to 9pm and Sunday 12pm to 7pm. Disney notes there may be a virtual queue for the Orlando store .

A curated selection of the collaboration will also be available starting September 28 at the Disney Store Times Square (1540 Broadway) and September 29 at the company's London headquarters (350-352 Oxford St.).

Fantasy debuted in 1940 with eight segments animated by Walt Disney Studios and accompanied by classical music directed by Stokowski, including “Rite of Spring” depicting the extinction of the dinosaurs; “Night on Bald Mountain/Ave Maria”; “Pomp and Circumstance” and others. The animated parts are introduced by music critic and composer Deems Taylor.

In 2020, Disney added a disclaimer to some films, including Fantasystressing that “the program includes negative portrayals and/or mistreatment of people or cultures. These stereotypes were wrong then and are wrong now. Instead of removing this content, we want to recognize its harmful impact, learn from it and stimulate dialogue to create a more inclusive future together.”
