R&B singer Rihanna and sportswear company Puma have joined forces for the sneaker collaboration, which comes in new colorways. The global superstar has teamed up with Puma to deliver a new addition to the Fenty x Puma sports fashion brand, reigniting the partnership with a pair of stylish shoes.
Crafted from buttery soft vintage leather, the Fenty x Puma Avanti L sneakers, now available in Club Red and Warm White, are a unisex soccer-inspired shoe with a fold-over tongue with gold foil Fenty and Puma logos, a rubber outsole and footbed in leather. It is a mix between the high-quality leather design of the Puma King football boots and the sole of the brand's Easy Rider running shoes.

“I wanted to bring something iconic from the archives to the street, and the late great Pelé made the Avanti shoe so iconic,” says Rihanna, in a press release.
Rihanna began working with the sports company as creative director of the Puma Women's division in 2015. Over the years, the pair has worked on a number of footwear and apparel collections, including Fenty x Puma sneakers, leather slides Fenty x Puma fur and more. .
“It was an exciting start to our partnership,” said Maria Valdes, Chief Product Officer at Puma. “We spent time together opening the Puma archive and identifying the right product that spoke to Rihanna. The Avanti is a classic Puma with a unique and iconic terrace view. I am very happy to see this project come to life and even more excited about what the next few years have in store for us together.”
