Ryan Reynolds has taken to social media to react to Martha Stewart by claiming she's “not that funny in real life.”
THE Deadpool and Wolverine The star responded to her surprising comments in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, writing: “I don't agree with her. But I tried once. The woman is unexpectedly lively. It really closed the gap after about a mile.
This week, during a November appearance by Bilt Rewards Free rental television show, Stewart told Bilt CEO and founder Ankur Jain that Reynolds is “very serious.” Her remarks came after she was asked which celebrities she thought Bilt members called “the funniest to hang out with.”
While the celebrity chef agreed with her friend Snoop Dogg on the list, as well as Taylor Swift, she wasn't completely convinced by Reynolds.
“He's probably only on the list because he hides in his movies and you don't see his face,” Stewart said at the time before adding: “And you want to know what? He's not that funny in real life. No, he's not so funny. It's very serious.”
He later noted that Reynolds, who is also his neighbor, is “a good actor. He may act funny, but he's not funny. Maybe it can be fun again.”
As for who Stewart would put on the list alongside Snoop and Swift, she said: “George Clooney, because he's funny. It's really nice to hang out with George.
Stewart is currently promoting her new cookbook, Martha: The Cookbook: 100 Favorite Recipes, with Lessons and Stories from My Kitchenwhich will hit shelves on October 22nd. RJ Cutler's Netflix documentary Martha it also debuted on Wednesday.
