Selma Blair appreciates some of her early acting projects so much that she will never miss a chance to revisit them.
The actress looked back at some of her favorite films, including Cruel intentions AND Legally Blondeduring an interview with People magazine at the Daily Front Row's 11th Annual Fashion Media Awards on Friday.
Blair said of the 1999 cult classic in which she played Cecile Caldwell: “It makes me so happy, though, that it's gotten more attention, because that movie is so beautiful, sexy… I don't know, wardrobe-wise. I mean, she [costume designer Denise Wingate] he did an amazing job with the wardrobe.”
“But it was one of the most beautiful films,” he added Cruel intentionswhich also starred Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe, and Reese Witherspoon. “It still holds up. It still holds up. And I love it. And I love everyone in the cast.”
The actress noted, “I'll always watch it,” before clarifying, “I mean, I don't put it on. But if it's in the background, I'll never turn it off. … Like, never.”
Blair felt the same way about the 2001 romantic comedy, in which she played Vivian, alongside Witherspoon's Elle Woods.
“[I] never turn off Legally Blondealso. I'll never turn it off,” the actress admitted. “Because she's just so happy… and they have great energy and they're beautiful… and I was so excited.”
THE Hellboy The star added that she's just excited to see “the younger generation” start discovering these beloved films from the '90s and early 2000s.
“I hope things come back into style. My mom used to say, 'Everything always comes back into style,'” Blair said. “If it's good stuff, it will come back into style, like clothes, actors and fans.”
