Serena Williams may be the GOAT of the tennis court, but it's the court that inspires her fall wardrobe.
The latest Serena Williams Design Crew capsule collection with Nike takes style notes from baseball, Los Angeles architecture and retro university touches, resulting in sporty-chic essentials. Priced from $24 to $180, the women's apparel line includes a tennis ball-inspired bomber jacket finished with embroidery and chenille patches, oversized short-sleeved baseball top with matching open-hem pants, inspired shorts vintage with “Los Angeles” embroidered on the back and cropped stretch tank tops, just to name a few.
The apparel comes in classic black with a hint of metallic, deep red and dark peach, while the collection's all-white Victory Tech sneakers feature mesh accents, subtle gold hardware and sculptural elements that nod to the City of Angels . (The pair concludes with words of wisdom from Williams herself.)
For the collection's campaign, Williams tapped soccer stars including Venezuela's Deyna Castellanos, Orlando Pride left-back Carson Pickett and England women's national soccer team captain Leah Williamson; and South Carolina Gamecocks women's basketball coach Dawn Staley. The SWDC x Nike fall line is part of the 23-time Grand Slam winner's ongoing partnership with the sportswear brand founded in 2019 to champion diversity in design.
Dawn Staley, coach of the South Carolina Gamecocks women's basketball team, and Leah Williamson, captain of the England women's national soccer team, are the protagonists of the SWDC x Nike autumn campaign.

“I am excited to continue my partnership with Nike and proud to provide emerging Los Angeles designers a platform to explore their art and bring a touch of our dynamic Los Angeles edge to athletic style in an influential way,” says Williams in a communicated.

The 43-year-old former tennis professional and entrepreneur was recently named one of the Charm magazine's 2024 Global Women of the Year for her support of businesses founded primarily by women or people of color through her venture capital firm, Serena Ventures; her advocacy for Black maternal health and gender equality in sports; and its portfolio of brands that includes its Wyn Beauty line (which offers products such as hydrating foundations in 36 shades and long-wearing eye pencils and concealers) and its Will Perform body care brand designed for active lifestyles.
In addition to the tennis court and boardroom, her titles include Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF International, film producer (she and sister Venus Williams were executive producers of the biopic King Richard inspired by his father) and – surprise! – a certified nail technician, to name just a few.
