Streaming charts September 23-29, 2024

Netflix's Monsters: The Story of Lyle and Erik Menendez led the Nielsen streaming ratings for the second week in a row and has grown significantly since its debut.

The series produced by Ryan Murphy was the top title of the week from September 23 to 29 with just under 2.4 billion minutes of viewing. This is a 40% improvement over the series' opening week (it premiered on September 19), which had 1.72 billion minutes of viewing time and the highest total for any streaming series in the Nielsen rankings since At that time. Bridgerton reached 2.47 billion minutes in June.

Two other Netflix series had strong opening weeks: Rom-coms Nobody wants it premiered to 1.04 billion minutes of viewing time and the docuseries Mr. McMahonon World Wrestling Entertainment impresario Vince McMahon, had 908 million minutes.

In the film ranking, Inside out 2 debuted on Disney+ with 1.82 billion minutes of viewing time, the second-highest weekly total for any film this year, behind only Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F (2.05 billion minutes) in early July. Bob's Burgers (844 million minutes on Hulu) led the top 10 in acquired series for the first time, and Friends (496 million minutes on Max) re-entered the rankings for the first time since January.

Nielsen's streaming ratings only cover viewing on televisions and do not include minutes watched on computers or mobile devices. The ratings only measure U.S. audiences, not those in other countries. Below are the top titles streaming from September 23-29, 2024.
