Sydney Sweeney is “very excited” to return to Euphoriathe actress said this week.
“I'm very excited to be back playing Cassie,” she said Anyone but you star said People“He's definitely one of the most special characters for me and I love my Euphoria family, so I can't wait.”
Sweeney said she can't reveal anything about the HBO series' long-awaited (and controversial) third season because “I honestly don't know anything about it,” but that she always enjoys exploring the dark side of her notoriously chaotic character.
“I love crazy Cassie, so the crazier she is, the better it is for me,” she said.
Sweeney previously spoke about his preparations to return to the show three years after the crew filmed season two.
“We had a lot of time between Season 1 and Season 2, but especially now with the time jump, it's a new process for me,” she said. “I'm learning as I go and I'm open to whatever happens. But I'm also really excited. I love Cassie. She's always such an exciting character to play, so I can't wait to see what happens in her life.”
Still, she added, reuniting with Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Hunter Schafer and more will always be special.
“It was the crew and the cast that were there at the beginning of my career,” Sweeney said. “We all came from different places, but we came together and went through so many things at the same time, so it's really nice to have that core group. They're going through a similarity to what I'm going through. It's nice to have that community.”
Sweeney and the other cast members have remained silent on the matter. Euphoria third season, with the Mrs. Web One star said in March that talking about the show is “as scary as talking about Marvel.”
Also in March, HBO announced that filming for Season 3 had been postponed indefinitely and that the cast was being asked to “seek other opportunities.” In July, the network announced a production date for early next year.
