Todd Stashwick, who played a key role in the third season of Star Trek: Picardjoined Paul Bettany and James Spader in Marvel Studios' untitled Vision series, the follow-up series to the Emmy-winning series WandaVision.
The actor reunites with acclaimed showrunner Terry Matalas Picardowho is leading the new show that has sometimes been called Vision Questeven though this is not its official title.
Bettany reprises his role as Vision, the android who fell in love with Scarlet Witch and was then destroyed by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. In WandaVisionhe returned through magic and the power of pain, but also as a rebuilt android, now a ghostly white.
Spader reprises his role as Ultron, a sentient being created by Tony Stark, aka Iron Man, to serve as a defense program but instead turned against humanity, as seen in the film. Avengers: Age of Ultron. Ultron then had a hand in creating Vision, his “son,” so to speak. It is unclear whether Ultron will return as a robot or in human form.
The series will focus on Vision's search for a new purpose in life, and sources say Stashwick will play an assassin on the trail of an android and its technology.
The series is intended to be the third part of a trilogy that began with WandaVision and continues in Agatha for lifewhich will debut on Disney+ in September. The new show is looking to begin filming in England in early 2025.
ON PicardoStashwick played Starfleet Captain Liam Shaw, who was a foil and a foil to Jean-Luc Picard.
