Travis Kelce is giving its first game show everything it has in the trailer Are you smarter than a celebrity?
Below is a first look at Prime Video's spin-off of the classic Fox game show, which will see adult contestants answering grade-six questions with the help of some famous faces.
The show is the first TV series gig booked by the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, who will also star in Ryan Murphy's FX horror series Grotesquepremiered last week. Amazon has ordered 20 episodes of the show hosted by the Super Bowl champion. The series will premiere Wednesday, October 16 on Prime Video with three episodes, followed by a new episode weekly.
Here's the trailer, in which Kelce seems a little unsure of what to do with his hands.
Celebrities in the show include comedians Nikki Glaser, Natasha Leggero, Nicole Byer and Ron Funches; Thursday Night Football analyst Ryan Fitzpatrick; former NFL wide receiver Chad Ochocinco; The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Garcelle Beauvais; Vanderpump Rules the protagonist Lala Kent; podcaster Sophia Stallone; and actress and producer Lilly Singh.
“I grew up loving game shows and am thrilled to follow in the footsteps of so many television icons by hosting my first ever with Are you smarter than a celebrity?,” Kelce said when the show was first announced in April. “The original show is a huge hit, so bringing a new format to the screen with everyone's favorite celebrities is sure to be fun. I'm just happy to be here on the host side of the equation and excited to see how these famous faces keep up.”

The original American version of You're smarter than a fifth grader was co-created by Barry Poznick and John Steven and hosted by comedian Jeff Foxworthy. The show premiered in 2007 to 27 million viewers and has remained the most-watched premiere game show in broadcast television history.
