Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are always trying to support each other in their careers and that includes the pop star drawing football playbooks for her boyfriend.
During a recent appearance on The Rich Eisen ShowThe Kansas City Chiefs tight end said Swift was particularly interested in learning more about the sport.
“She was so open to learning the game, she didn't know much about the rules and everything,” Kelce explained. “I think what makes her so good at her profession is that she's so detailed in every aspect, from the lyrics to the music, even the releases and the music videos and everything. She's so detailed and part of it that I think she was just curious about the profession.”
So much so that he even created some of his own plays. “I know none of the plays have gotten to Coach Reid yet, but if they ever do, I'm going to make sure everyone knows that it was his creation,” he added.
However, Kelce joked that Swift's plays are understandably centered around her favorite player: “She's a little biased and just creates plays for me. We'll see if they make it to Coach Reid's office.”
Kelce's comments came after Patrick Mahomes first revealed last month that Swift was interested in playcalling. “She's really into football. She asks a lot of good questions. She's already designing plays, so we might have to put one in,” the quarterback told NBC commentator Chris Simms.
The Grammy-winning singer and the Chiefs tight end have been linked since September 2023, after they first sparked rumors of a relationship when Swift attended her first Chiefs game against the Chicago Bears. Throughout the season, the singer continued to show her support for Kelce at games, including the Super Bowl, which the Chiefs won. As for Kelce, he made regular appearances at Swift's Eras Tour shows over the summer.
