Stacy London and Clinton Kelly are returning to TV, but they won't be telling viewers what not to wear.
The two hosts reunite for a Prime Video series titled Wear the F you wantwhose title is practically the reverse of their long-standing title What Not to WearThe show is produced by All3Media’s Bright Spot Content and Amazon MGM Studios; London and Kelly serve as executive producers.
“The world has changed a lot since the race began What Not to Wearand thankfully, so have we,” Kelly and London said in a statement. “These days, we have no interest in telling people what to do based on society’s norms, because there are no norms anymore! However, style is still an important form of communication, and we’re excited to show new clients how to align their personal message with their life goals. It’s time to celebrate individual style, not prescribe it.”
London and Kelly have hosted more than 200 episodes of What Not to Wear on TLC from 2003 to 2013, providing fashion advice and transforming dozens of contestants. The duo had a falling out after the show ended, but reconciled for a live tour in 2023 and now, the new series. “After seeing the same clickbait story over and over again on Instagram about how much we hated each other, I was like, 'I can't do this anymore,'” Kelly said in a Today interview last year. “Because we don't really hate each other. We actually love each other.”
Prime Video describes Wear Whatever the F You Want as a “style transformation show” that aims to give participants “the confidence and style savvy to wear whatever they want. Over the course of a couple days, they will empower each customer to live out their fashion fantasy and find their style truth on the journey of a lifetime.”
“Since Clinton and Stacy first appeared on television, they have been at the forefront of showing us how to use fashion as a vehicle for self-empowerment. Their playful banter and distinctive approach have helped instill confidence in viewers for nearly two decades,” said Lauren Anderson, head of brand and content innovation at Amazon MGM Studios. “Now, with the efforts of Bright Spot Content and expertly led by Jenny Falkoff [head of reality series for Amazon MGM Studios]their long-awaited reunion has become a reality. Together, Stacy and Clinton bring a fresh, funny and meaningful new series to Prime Video customers, filled with expertise and inspiration; chemistry and warmth; and, of course, their enviable and distinctive style.”
